Redlead 1943
June 22, 2022 at 8:36 pmThis figure was quite good considering the year that it was created. The figure had over 30 points of articulation, which was quite impressive for an action figure from 2002. The paint apps are rather scarce however, the few parts of the figure that are painted are done so appropriately. This figure was created with the traditional Iron Man paint scheme in mind. The yellows that were found in the original comic adaptation of Iron Man have been replaced by gold. The bright red color scheme from the original comics has been swapped out for a darker shade of maroon. It is important to note that there are different shades of red plastic. The head sculpt is a solid representation of Tony Stark from the original comics. The face plate is quite an accurate representation of what was depicted in the original comics as well, albeit with the color changes mentioned earlier. Overall I rate this figure a 5/5, due to the quality and accuracy of the source material at the time it was released.
